Pfizer denies fumes from Viagra factory are arousing town’s males

Updated 12:40 pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Villagers of Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland, say air pollution from a factory that produces the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra are affecting the menfolk.

“One whiff and you’re stiff,” local bartender Debbie O’Grady told the Sunday Times.

If it’s not the fumes emanating from Pfizer’s plant, then it’s the water that is getting the men’s Irish up, some believe.

“I think that Viagra must have got into the water supply,” Fiona Toomey, 37, told the paper. Toomey used to work at the Pfizer factory.

“I’m convinced that’s what happened at the very beginning before they were so closely regulated,” she said.

It’s not only human males who are aroused. Toomey says that dogs “walk around in a state of sexual excitement.”

Life imitates art.

  1. Hahahahahahahahahhahahaha hahha
Oh hell. I think I ruptured something non-vital. Hopefully non-vital! I loved the song, and after reading the article first seeing the dog about killed me!
It is totally rubbish of course, but much like the song I can bet it is the women making use of the myth to their best advantage.

They make Botox nearby (we are known for our tax breaks to get in international business) and I’m sure as hell that no one close to the plant looks any younger! Or their dogs…

  2. In the 70s we had an office right next door to a glue factory. Whenever I visited there, everybody was in a happy mood, even more so in summer when all the windows were wide open. That Viagra effect could be more than a tall tale.

  3. Johnson City is just a couple of hours up the road from me….

Did I ever mention my tour of the third world chocolate factory in Jamaica? The place was loaded with cocoa dust floating in the air. My party came out of there very happy indeed. It was one of the nicest highs I’ve ever had!

    • Oooh, I’d love to snort cocoa.

I have a feeling that, since I am sure this was not a real incident, “Johnson” City was picked as the scene for double-entendre reasons…
